KUALA LUMPUR: It was a urinary tract infection that landed actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, 69, in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Cheras last Wednesday.

The former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host said in an interview with Harian Metro Online yesterday that doctors would be examining him further to ascertain if he suffered from other illnesses.

"I feel a lot better now, but doctors want me to stay in hospital a little longer as they want me to have a blood test to ascertain if I have other illnesses," he said, adding that they advised him to take a break from his television appearances.

Jalaluddin urged his fans and friends to pray for his speedy recovery.

"I want to thank all my close friends, especially fellow artistes who visited me in hospital. Please pray for my speedy recovery and good health."
