KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and model Alicia Amin and her husband Farzan Iqbal have divorced after two years of marriage. =
A news report today quoting the actress said the couple parted ways amicably, and the divorce was finalised yesterday at the Federal Territory Syariah Court.
"It's true that we have divorced amicably. We went to the court together and he let me go with a divorce.
"After living together as husband and wife for about two years, we got to know each other better and after the discussion (to divorce), we decided that we were more comfortable as just friends, not as a married couple," said Alicia, 28, whose real name is Raja Alicia Raja Amin.
Alicia married Farzan, a doctor, at the Saidina Umar Al-Khattab Mosque in Bukit Damansara near here in February 2021.
When commenting on Farzan and their relationship, she said she was still on good terms with her ex-husband.
"We got married in a good way and parted in a good way.
"I still love Farzan and he is a good man, but only our marriage ends here. I don't want to make my ex-husband look bad because that's not my way," said the actress who stars in The Bridge.
