KUALA LUMPUR: Losing his father two years ago made Indonesian singer Cakra Khan realise the importance of family values.

The crooner of Kekasih Bayangan said that when the world was battling pandemic, fate dealt the 30-year-old artiste a massive blow with the passing of loved ones – his father Hermana on Aug 21, 2020; and a friend.

Chakra however had the chance to care for his father when he was warded at the intensive care unit due to a stroke.

"During the pandemic, many things happened in my life. He (My father) passed away when I was about to go to perform in a show. When I was informed that he was in critical condition, I cancelled the show and rushed to the hospital.

"Sadly, he passed before I could arrive. It was the worst feeling I had ever experienced. I was at my lowest point then," recounted Cakra in a news report yesterday.

After that incident, Cakra said his family members, especially his mother, became his priority, above everything else including his career and he would take every chance to spend more time with his family now.
