KUALA LUMPUR: Bollywood actor Datuk Shah Rukh Khan, 59, was hospitalised for a day after suffering from a heat stroke last Tuesday.

The Hindustan Times reported yesterday that "King Khan" was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, India after suffering the heat stroke while attending the Indian Premier League (IPL) match of his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The city's superintendent of police Om Prakash Jat said that Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana and son Abram accompanied the actor as he greeted fans after the match and interacted with the cricketers.

Shortly after greeting the cricketers, Shah Rukh felt unwell and was rushed to hospital.
