KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of new hit animation series Mechamato will be able to enjoy special Raya Craft Your World project videos on May 2 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Adding to the excitement is a Mechamato Week Marathon happening on the same day till May 8 at 11am-1pm, to kick off Cartoon Network's Redraw Your Summer programming block, a weekly themed collection of fan favourites.
Produced by local animation studio Monsta, Mechamato has quickly become one of the top-rated animated series on Cartoon Network in Malaysia following its debut in December last year.
Set in Kota Hilir, which is inspired by Bandar Hilir in Malacca, the show introduces the world to Malaysia's unique culture and traditions, and the exciting adventures of a young boy named Amato.
Together with and his mechanical friend Mechabot, a robot with the ability to mechanize everyday objects into high-tech devices, the two have their hands full keeping their friends and their town safe from the nefarious plans of other bad robots.
From cyberbullies and kidnappers to dangerous robots threatening to encase the town in ice or engulf it in flames, each of the 13 episodes during the Mechamato Week Marathon features acts of bravery, friendship and innovation as they face each challenge as a team.
This marathon segment represents the first of a five-week block of Redraw Your Summer, which includes Teen Titans Go!, Looney Tunes Cartoons, Krypto The Superdog and We Bare Bears.
Meanwhile, Amato and Mechabot invite fans to get inspired to express their creativity and innovation by watching the new Raya-themed DIY craft videos.
These include cool how-to-create segments for a Craft Your World x Mechamato ketupat casing, Raya packet and Raya greeting card to welcome Hari Raya in Mechamato style.
The craft videos will debut on Cartoon Network social media pages @cartoonnetworkasia on May 2.
