KUALA LUMPUR: The much-anticipated Netflix series Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area has just unveiled its first teaser, and fans of the original Spanish series cannot wait to watch its first episode.

Hong Kong entertainment portal Jaynestars reported yesterday that the teaser, released on Tuesday, gave Money Heist fans a glimpse of the new series' main Korean stars, as well as some scenes involving them.

The teaser revealed that the star-studded cast of Money Heist: Korea includes Yoo Ji-Tae, Park Hae-Soo, Kim Ji-Hoon, Park Jong-Seo, Lee Won-Jong, Jang Yoon-Ju, Lee Hyun-Woo, Kim Ji-Hoon, Lee Gyu-Ho and Kim Yoon-Jin.

Ji-Tae plays The Professor, who is the leader and mastermind of the Money Heist team.

He reaches out to six different masks hung on his wall, and these masks include the traditional Korean Tal mask and the iconic Salvador Dali mask.

It is these masks which are worn by his brave and resilient team who go all out to perform the biggest and most ambitious heist in South Korea.

The teaser also shows Kim Yoon-Jin as the police negotiation team leader, who is the major nemesis of the thieves.

The script is written by Ryu Yong-Jae of Liar Game (2014) and Psychopath Diary (2019) fame.
