KUALA LUMPUR: Singer-actress Adibah Noor has fully recovered from Bell's palsy, an ailment which causes temporary paralysis in the side of one's face.

The 51-year-old Gegar Vaganza 8 (GV8) contestant said that she underwent 12 physiotherapy sessions after being diagnosed with the ailment in December last year.

"Thank God I have recovered from Bell's palsy. I am fit and raring to go in GV8 two weeks from now," said Adibah in an interview with Harian Metro yesterday.

"The ailment distorted my singing and made me bite my tongue from time to time. Even though it is over now, I still have to undergo vocal training to prepare myself well for the coming contest."

She likened her absence from singing to "staying away from her office" for a long time.

When asked about her major competitors in GV8, Adibah said Nikki Palikat, Bandi of Amuk, Aweera and Shidee were four of them.

"Each of us has his or her strengths and specialties. All I can do is to prepare well for each weekly show and give my best," said Adibah who is looking forward to perform rock songs by Fotograf, Rahim Maarof and Visa.
