KUALA LUMPUR: The 37-year-old wife of Senario: Pemburu Emas Yamashita actor Badrol Shah Abdul Manan has died of Covid-19, 23 days after she was put under an induced coma.

Farah Sheila Mazlan breathed her last at 8.15am today in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Kuala Lumpur Hospital in Jalan Pahang.

Badrol Shah, 39, said that he was informed of his wife's death by doctors who gave him a video call this morning.

"My wife passed away at 8.15am today. The hospital is assisting us in arranging her burial," he said in an Instagram post.

"My family and I accept Farah Sheila's demise with peace and calmness."

Previously, Badrol Shah had mistakenly thought that Farah Sheila, a teacher at Sekolah Rendah Agama Lembah Keramat, died on Aug 10.

On that day, some doctors told him that his wife had died in the afternoon.

However, another doctor contacted Badrol Shah later that day to inform him that Farah Sheila was still alive but in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Farah Sheila was tested positive with the Delta variant of the coronavirus on July 20, and her condition quickly worsened.

Badrol Shah and Farah Sheila were married in 2017 and they have a 2-year-old daughter, Putri Daaiyatul Insyirah.

Farah also has three daughters aged 7 to 12 from her first marriage.

Badrol Shah is currently working as a Grab driver.
