KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Amyra Rosli's dream to helm TV3's long-running programme Nona as its presenter has finally come true.

TV3 announced today that the 29-year-old mother of two would replace fellow actress Mira Filzah.

Amyra said the offer to host Nona came as a pleasant surprise since she had no experience hosting a programme before this.

"I was initially surprised as this is a huge local TV show which needs no introduction.

"I've always wanted to try hosting, but never had enough courage to do so. I never thought that I am proficient enough to actually do it," she said during a virtual press conference today.

Amyra will make her Nona debut on Aug 8.

Since its inception in 1991, Nona has been hosted by a slew of big names in local broadcasting scene including Dian P. Ramlee, Ezzah Aziz Fawzy, Nurfarahin Jamsari, Puan Sri Normala Shamsudin, Datin Seri Norjuma Habib, Maya Karin, Vanida Imran, Fara Fauzana, Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor and Datin Fouziah Gous.
