KUALA LUMPUR: The former husband of the late pop queen Whitney Houston, singer Bobby Brown is mourning the loss of another child, five years after the death of Bobbi Kristina, his only daughter with Houston.

American entertainment portal E! Online reported today that Brown's 28-year-old son Bobby Jr. was found dead at his house yesterday.

Singer-songwriter Landon Brown, Brown's eldest son, confirmed his younger brother's death in an Instagram post captioned, "I love you forever King."

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told E! News that they responded to a report of a medical emergency, and when they arrived at the scene, they found a dead body, but were unable to disclose the identity of the deceased.

Bobby Jr.'s half-sister Bobbi Kristina died in 2015. The 22-year-old daughter of Brown and Houston, who died in 2012, succumbed to injuries six months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub.

Brown honoured Bobbi Kristina's memory on the fifth anniversary of her death last July. He wrote on Instagram, "There's no way to explain how I feel. I miss you so much little girl, you stay in my heart, on my mind, every day daddy loves you."

Bobby Jr. is the son of Brown and his former girlfriend Kim Ward. They separated in 1991, when she was two months' pregnant with Bobby Jr.

According to Bobby Jr.'s Instagram, he was following in his father's footsteps by becoming a musician. He regularly promoted his music on the social media application, and most recently shared his song Say Something.

Bobby Jr. is survived by his sister La'Princia, and their half-siblings Landon, Cassius, Hendrix and Bodhi.
