HONOR Malaysia has finally launched its highly anticipated device, the brand's first-ever foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic Vs. The company also launched the Honor Magic5 Series.
Malaysia is the first country to launch the smartphone models since its abroad reveal at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Launched by Honor Malaysia country director, Justin Li, the Honor Magic Vs offers a great 2-in-1 combination of a smartphone and a tablet which enable users to multitask.
"It is also the first smartphone in the industry to pass the VICO A+ visual comfort test," said Li, adding that it's another milestone in Honor's health display technology.
He added that the natural light eye protection function can intelligently stimulate the rhythm of natural light which can relieve visual fatigue.
All Honor Magic series will run on the MagicOS 7.1 operating system.
STUNNING YET PRACTICAL
Sleek and slimmer looking, the smartphone has gapless design that sets a new benchmark for foldable smartphone designs.
Measuring at just 12.9mm thin when folded and weighing only 267g, it's so lightweight thanks to the revolutionary Super-light Gearless Hinge that has been carefully crafted with single piece casting processing technology, streamlining the number of components in the hinge's supporting structure from 92 to just 4.
"Tested by TUV Rheinland, the hinge is also able to withstand up to 400,000 folds, equivalent to above ten years of use based on 100 folds per day," said Li.
The Honor Magic Vs also has a larger external display so users will be able to enjoy a more productive and efficient experience.
The gapless foldable design eliminates the gap between the screens, preventing stone chips and other debris from getting stuck in between - which is the common problem faced by foldable smartphone users.
On top of that, the display screen is built with durability in mind, avoiding cracks or dents.
Most importantly, the smartphone has an ultra-long battery life.
"Equipped with 5000mAh Ultra High-Density battery, it is the largest battery capacity among foldable smartphones under 270g currently available on the market," said Li, adding that its 66W Wired Honor SuperCharge technology ensures that the battery can be fully charged in just 46 minutes.
THE MAGIC5 SERIES
Also happening at the event is the unveiling of Honor's latest flagship all-rounder smartphones, Honor Magic5 series.
Available in two models - the Honor Magic5 and Honor Magic5 Pro features breakthrough design, display, photography and performance capability.
The phone features the Falcon triple main camera, which boasts a 50MP wide camera with OIS, EIS and a customised 1/1.12 inch large sensor.
It can also capture more light and deliver brighter, clearer and more vivid images with lifelike colors and details.
The Honor Magic5 Pro smartphone also offers AI Motion Sensing Capture that detects movement and allows users to capture the best shot automatically.
PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
The Honor Magic5 Pro is available in Meadow Green and Classic Black while the Honor Magic5 comes in Black and Blue.
The Honor Magic5 Pro is priced from RM4,299 (12GB+512GB) while the Magic5 starts at RM3,499 (12GB+256GB). Both smartphones will be available from April 14, 2023 (Pre-order start today).
Meanwhile, the Honor Magic Vs' price starts from RM5,999 (12GB+512GB) and is available from April 28, 2023.
