KUALA LUMPUR: Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) said it was taking steps to rectify the accreditation for eight of its programmes.
This issue first came to light in a recent press conference, where two LUCT students brought to light the Malaysian Qualifications Agency's (MQA) revocation of their programme's accreditation status.
Following the academic programme audit process that the institution underwent earlier this year, LUCT has been given 30 days to appeal and submit new documents for a re-audit by the MQA.
The management has confirmed that they will be taking swift action to rectify the matter.
They also reassured students that the accreditation of the eight programmes will be put back on track.
In a media statement, LUCT clarified that out of 98 programmes offered at the university, only eight postgraduate programmes were not given the green light for an accreditation extension.
The institution also stressed that they always ensure all academic courses offered are registered and fully accredited by MOHE and MQA respectively.
