KUALA LUMPUR: DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has signed an exclusive agreement with Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC) to bring premium red ginseng CheongKwanJang to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
CheongKwanJang is Korea's most prominent red ginseng brand with a tradition over 120 years.
DKSH head of business unit healthcare Bijay Singh said the partnership with KGC strengthened its ambition to become the preferred partner for clients to help people in Asia have better access to high-quality healthcare products.
Under the agreement, DKSH will provide full market expansion services by building dedicated sales and marketing teams on the ground and managing logistics and product distribution.
"DKSH's experienced teams and broad distribution network will ensure red ginseng CheongKwanJang reaches those who seek to improve their health and well-being," it said.
The products will be made available in modern trade, traditional trade, convenience stores, specialty stores, and e-commerce channels across these markets thanks to DKSH's omni-channel approach.
KGC global business head Bin An said the company wanted to make people's lives better by providing the best, traditionally harvested, most carefully selected Korean red ginseng products.
With DKSH's expertise and proven track record in market expansion in Asia Pacific, An said it would help KGC realise its vision of strengthening growth in Asean markets.
"DKSH will also help to provide high-quality Korean red ginseng to improve the health of people in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia," he said.
