KUALA LUMPUR: National diver Ooi Tze Liang did well to finish on the podium at the Australian Open Championships in Adelaide today.

Tze Liang's dives scored 69.00, 65.10, 78.20, 69.30, 63.00 and 66.50 for a total score of 411.10 in the men's 3m springboard individual final at the South Australia Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

The 30-year-old scored 1,243.45 points in total, including points brought forward from earlier rounds, to secure third place overall.

New South Wales' Kurtis Mathews (1,402.15) and South Australia's Shixin Li (1,303.65) took gold and silver, respectively.

Paris Olympics-bound Bertrand Rhodict Lises placed fifth in the men's platform individual event after scoring 59.20, 62.40, 69.30, 66.30, 86.40 and 38.85 for a 382.45 score in the final and 1,067.05 in total.

Queensland's Cassiel Rousseau (1,510.20), South Australia's Jaxon Bowshire (1,334.05) and New South Wales' Sam Fricker (1,157.75) took the podium positions.
