KUALA LUMPUR: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) has denounced the poison pen letter against the national body as slanderous and a personal attack.

FAM president Datuk Hamidin Amin said the allegations concerning corruption and misuse of power were made by one or more individuals dissatisfied with the top brass, specifically targeting secretary-general Datuk Noor Azman Rahman.

"I would like to emphasise that everything claimed by this writer or writers is purely slanderous. We view it as a personal attack," said Hamidin after the FAM congress meeting in Subang on Monday.

Azman expressed his intention to forgive those who wronged him, especially since it is Ramadan.

"Slanderous accusations were directed towards me. I won't comment further. However, I would like to extend my forgiveness as it is Ramadan," said Azman."
