KUALA LUMPUR: Harleein Tan is the only player left to carry Malaysia's challenge at the British Junior Open (BJO) in Birmingham.

The second seed overcame Belgium's fifth seed Savannah Moxham 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 11-9 to reach the girls' Under-15 semi-finals on Friday.

Harleein, who won the Under-11 title in 2020, will face Egypt's Rama El Naggar for a place in the final later today.

Fifth seed Rama upset third seed Reghan McLaughlin of the United States 11-8, 11-9, 7-11, 11-4 in the quarter-finals.

Egypt's Malika El Karasky will battle compatriot Zeina Abdelaal in the other semi-final.
