KUALA LUMPUR: Goh Zhi Xuan upset Malta's sixth seed Colette Sultana to reach the quarter-finals of Hong Kong Challenge Cup today.

The 18-year-old from Melaka, who is seeded joint ninth, prevailed

11-7, 11-5, 11-4 in the second round,

World No. 160 Zhi Xuan will face South Korea's fourth seed Hoe Min Gyeong next. Min Gyeong beat Hong Kong's wild card Lo Pui Yin 11-4, 12-10, 11-9.

Zhi Xuan said she feels confident playing Min Gyeong though she will be meeting the Korean for the first time.

Joint ninth seed Duncan Lee found Hong Kong's second seed Matthew Lai too strong and succumbed 12-10, 9-11, 8-11, 5-11.
