KUALA LUMPUR: The Matrix Duathlon, powered by NX113, will make its debut in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan, on Nov 25-26, with electrifying run-bike-run showdowns.

The Duathlon event is a multi-sport competition that combines running and cycling, and it serves as the National Duathlon Championships.

Isaac Tan, 18, will be aiming for his third national consecutive title after emerging victorious at the Triathlon Desaru in July and the Aquathlon Putrajaya in October.

The National Duathlon Championships will take place in the Sprint category, involving a 5km run, 20km cycling, and a final 2.5km run.

In addition to the main event, the Matrix Duathlon will organise the Standard and Mixed Relay (10km run-40km cycling-5km run) and Super Sprint (2km run -10km cycling-1km run) races.

Adding to the event's excitement is a non-competitive family relay on Nov 26, where an adult partners with a child to complete a 2km route (500m run-1km cycling-500m run),

Race director Andy Foo said: "Our top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of all our athletes, and we've meticulously planned this event to be a thrilling experience while keeping it as family-oriented as possible.
