BANGI: The decision by Goh Zheng Yang to make a U-turn when he decided to go back on his decision to retire paid dividends when he finally tasted success by winning gold at the 2018 Institution of Higher Learning Sports Championship (SUKIPT) earlier today.

What’s more interesting is the fact that the gold won was in the poomase men’s team event together with Loke Wai Loong and Low Hong Jac is the first to be contested at the meet this time, which also brings an end to the quest for gold after winning three silver medals at three previous editions.

“Experience competing at international level has helped me a lot apart from my teammates unwavering commitment.

“This is the fourth time I am taking part and the first time I won gold after taking silver at three previous editions,” said the 27-year-old athlete.
