KUALA LUMPUR: Yap Khim Wen delivered Malaysia's first gold in taekwondo at the Kuala Lumpur Sea Games (KL2017) after emerging victorious in the women's individual poomsae event today.

Khim Wen's routines impressed the judges at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, earning her a commendable 8.39 score.

Philavong Kidavone of Laos came in second on 7.87 while Singapore's Chelsea Ann Sim Shu (7.78) clinched the bronze.
