SILVERSTONE (England): Moto2 ace Khairul Idham Pawi hopes he has put the worst behind him.
The rider from Kampung Gajah, Perak, admits it has been a difficult year for him as he struggled with injuries.
For the next Moto2 season, the Honda Team Asia ace will join the Petronas Sepang Racing team.
As a Moto3 rider, Khairul, aka Super KIP, made his name by winning the Grand Prix Argentina and Jerman in 2016.
He hopes to get back on the winning track after an arm-pump surgery earlier this year.
Khairul said the ‘arm-pump’ injury affected his riding last year as he had problems wirh his grip on the bike.
Khairul, who will train with the Petronas Sepang Racing team, said he is optimistic his riding will be much better after the operation.
