KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia defeated Indonesia 4-0 to finish third in the women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup in Chonnburi, Thailand, today.
Veteran Fazilla Sylvester Silin scored a brace for Malaysia in the third and 26th minute. Ellya Syahirah Ellias (13th) and Juliani Din (34th) scored the other goals.
Two years ago in Bangkok, Malaysia also finished third behind champions Thailand and Indonesia.
Hosts Thailand and Kazakhstan will play in the final, and the winner will qualify for the World Cup in Croatia next year.
