IPOH: World No. 16 Japan will go into tomorrow's Sultan Azlan Shah (SAS) Cup final against Pakistan as round-robin champions following a 3-1 win over Canada here today.

World No. 19 Canada surprised Japan with the opening goal through Sean Davies in the 42nd minute at the Azlan Shah Stadium.

However, Japan bounced back through Hiro Saito (43rd), Tsubasa Tanaka (56th) and Kosei Kawabe (60th) for the three points.

The win saw Japan top the standings with 13 points from five matches, while Pakistan, who drew 1-1 with New Zealand, finished second with 11 points.

It will be Japan's first appearance in the SAS Cup final.
