KUALA LUMPUR: Since the horrific acid attack on him on May 5, Selangor football star Faisal Halim is set to make his first public appearance tomorrow.

Faisal will attend an official press conference at Selangor FC's training centre in Padang SUK, Shah Alam.

The 26-year-old suffered fourth-degree burns after he was splashed with acid by an unidentified assailant at a shopping centre in Damansara.

The football world was shocked by the heinous attack on Faisal. In a touching show of international support, Manchester United players Andre Onana and Alejandro Garnacho sent a heartfelt message to Faisal in a 30-second video on May 11. This was followed by a statement of solidarity from Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, who posted a message with the hashtag #StopTheViolence on May 21.
