KUALA LUMPUR: In a poignant stand against violence, Harimau Malaya coach Kim Pan Gon expressed his solidarity with acid attack victim Faisal Halim today.

The coach shared a photo of Faisal on social media with the caption: "We all stand with you, Faisal!"

Following Faisal's harrowing acid attack on Sunday in a mall in Damansara, the 26-year-old will miss out on Harimau Malaya's remaining 2026 World Cup/2027 Asian Cup qualification matches.

Pan Gon's side will conclude their qualifying group campaign against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek on June 6 and Taiwan in Bukit Jalil on June 11.

Fans also urged Pan Gon to take care of himself following the recent attacks on footballers, including Terengganu forward Akhyar Rashid.

"Please take care of yourself too, coach! We love you," posted Niza Rosely.

Social media user Senshussain posted: "Together we stand with Faisal… Thank you, coach, for your support."
