KUALA LUMPUR: The winners of the M5 League in Melaka and Negri Sembilan will receive RM23,000.

The competition, which is for amateur teams, is organised by the Super Football League (SFL) and the newly established Melaka Malay Football Association (MMFA)

On Thursday, SFL and MMFA signed a memorandum of understanding at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur to form the country's 19th M5 League.

Amateur Football League chairman Datuk Yusoff Mahadi said there is no limit to the number of M5 Leagues in the country. And for him, the more the merrier.

"We started this two years ago. We want more (M5 Leagues) because this is community football. The more talent we have, the better," said Yusoff.
