KUALA LUMPUR: The national football team warmed up for their World Cup qualifiers against Oman by thrashing Nepal 5-1 in a closed-door test match at UiTM Stadium yesterday.

Darren Lok scored a brace, in the 31st minute (penalty) and 35th minutes. Stuart Wilkin (46th), Daniel Ting (48th) and Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi (135th) were Malaysia's other scorers.

Nepal got their consolation goal from Sameer Tamang in the 68th in the 140- minute long match.

Malaysia will play Oman on March 21 in Muscat and on March 26 in Bukit Jalil in the pre-World Cup.
