KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor sealed their runners-up spot in the Super League when they edged Kedah 1-0 at the Darulaman Stadium, Alor Star, today.

With the success, Selangor will play in the Asian Champions League 2 next year.

The match witnessed no fewer than six shots on goal from each side in the first half, keeping fans on the edge of their seats, but none were successful. Tan Cheng Hoe's team had to wait until the second half to break the deadlock.

In the 63rd minute, Captain Brendan Gan's cross found Ayron Del Valle, who scored the decisive goal.

The Red Giants have collected 58 points, five more than third-placed Kedah.
