KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) maintained their perfect start to the Super League season by routing Selangor 4-0 at a packed MBPJ Stadium yesterday.

Though the two sides were even in the first half, reigning league champions JDT ripped the Red Gianta apart in the second period.

JDT drew blood in the 55th minute when Fernando Forestieri went on a magnificent run before laying the ball for Juan Muniz to slot home.

Diogo Luis Santo struck a superb shot in the 66th minute to increase JDT's lead. Arif Aiman's sizzling run in the 77th minute saw him setting up Forestieri to score.

And former Italian youth international Forestieri turned in a corner kick in the 82nd minute to cap an emphatic win for the Southern Tigers.

In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah thrashed Penang 5-2 to continue their impressive start to the new season. On target for the Rhinos were South Korean Park Tae Su (third and 59th minute), Darren Lok (45th), Daniel Ting (55th) and Rizal Ghazali (penalty in injury time). Penang replied through Hassan Saad and Adriano (penalty).

Kedah picked up their second successive win after overpowering Kuching City 3-0 at Darulaman Stadium and moved up to third in the table.

Centre back Akmal Zahir starred for the Red Eagles with a goal in each half, and striker Manuel Hidalgo grabbing their third goal in the 58th minute.

At Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, Kelantan produced a stirring comeback to hold Kuala Lumpur City to an enthralling 2-2 draw.

Tchetche Kipre opened account for KL within just 11 minutes, and Declan Lamber doubled their lead in the 34th minute.

But the Red Warriors avoided defeat with an own goal from KL's Kenny Pallray (41st minute) and a Fazrul Amir equaliser towards the end of the first half.
