KUALA LUMPUR: Former world No. 1 shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei is confident national footballer Faisal Halim will come back strong after the adversities he has faced.
Chong Wei, in a post on social media today, encouraged Faisal to be patient and focus on the recovery process.
"Everything happens for a reason," said Chong Wei.
"You will be back even stronger, be patient and believe. Focus on your recovery.
"We await your return, Faisal."
Faisal suffered serious injuries in an acid attack in Damansara on May 5.
He has undergone four operations since then and was discharged from hospital on May 25.
He made his first public appearance since the incident at a press conference in Shah Alam yesterday.
