KUALA LUMPUR: After a superb week of badminton in Ningbo, China, Malaysia's men's doubles duo Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani settled for silver at the Asian Championships today.

The world No. 19 fought gallantly but succumbed 21-17, 15-21, 21-10 to China's world No. 3 Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang in the final at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre.

This is the third time a Malaysian men's doubles pair had to settle for second place after reaching three consecutive finals since 2022.

Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah remain the last Malaysian men's pair to win the Asian crown, back in 2007.
