KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's women's doubles sensation Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah are set to come back stronger than ever.
This was the assurance given by Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) coaching director Rexy Mainaky.
On Tuesday, Rexy posted a reel on his Instagram account, showing a smiling picture of Pearly and Thinaah, hand-in-hand, during training at the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM) in Bukit Kiara.
This comes following fears of a fallout between the two after the Super 750 China Masters last month.
Last week, women's doubles coach Hoon Thien How admitted the pair had an on-court misunderstanding in their first-round defeat to South Korea's Jeong Na Eun-Kim Hye Jeong in Shenzhen.
In the match aired live, fans quickly noticed the lack of communication between the players, who are good friends.
While Thien How confirmed that the pair had resolved their issue, the picture posted by Rexy is the first showing the pair back together physically.
"The two of them with the big smile will fight for Malaysia Open 2024.
"Together they will be stronger, and they need each other to reach their dream in 2024," read Rexy's caption.
Pearly-Thinaah, one of Malaysia's prospects for a medal at next year's Paris Olympics will kick-start their season next year with the Super 1000 Malaysia Open on Jan 9-14 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.
