Mulpha International Bhd has received a A$160 million (RM478 million) green syndicated construction loan in Australia for the purpose of funding the building of a mixed-use residential apartment development in Australia.

Its indirect subsidiary Mulpha Norwest Quarter Development Pty Ltd obtained the RM478 million facility from Clean Energy Finance Corporation and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd, it told the stock exchange on May 2.

According to Mulpha, the company will use the funds to support Stage 1 of Norwest Quarter, formerly known as The Greens, Norwest City, in Norwest.

Norwest Quarter is made up of nine towers, each with eight to 26 stories, showcasing cutting edge passive architectural design and ecological advances.
