KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Supreme Council meeting is ongoing, after four hours.

It is learnt that among the matters being discussed during the meeting, which started at 8.30pm yesterday, included the issue surrounding the support by six of the party's members of parliament for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

About one hour ago, Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin shared on his Facebook a short video of the meeting.

The meeting is chaired by Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

It is also learnt that an official statement on the meeting will be issued later this morning.

Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal yesterday shot down rumours about the alleged sacking of one of the party leaders.

He said any sacking of the party's leadership was under the prerogative of its president.
