KEPALA BATAS: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reminded young Malaysians to vote wisely in the upcoming state elections to ensure a secured future.

He said that young people, especially the 'Undi18' group, should vote for a government with clear policies that can steer the country to greater heights.

He said those aged between 18 and 25, who formed a large number, would influence the country's political pattern.

"So, young people must think of a peaceful government with clear economic policies, that can attract huge investments into the country, and not one which keeps on attacking the government and hurling allegations against the prime minister.

"This is why education is essential, and I hope our young people will make wise decisions. Take your stand. Say enough to this (against those who continuously attack the government). You decide your future.

"Make sure you vote in the unity government which cares for you," he said when answering a question from the floor on Undi18 vote and how it would influence the country's political landscape.

He said this during the "Temu Anwar" programme at Kolej Matrikulasi Pulau Pinang here this afternoon.

Present was Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

Anwar added that he had gone through hardships and did not want it to happen to others.

"I want to prove that Malaysia can be a great country with such (wise) young people," he added.
