BANGI: Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, issued a strong call for the people of Selangor to "wipe out' the political careers of those who have betrayed their parties within the unity government.

Speaking at the launch event of the election machineries for Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) in Bandar Baru Bangi, Anwar, without explicitly naming individuals, urged voters to expel traitors from their midst during the upcoming state elections on August 12.

"If one has the look of a traitor, let's kick them out immediately," he declared, as reported by online portal FMT.

Anwar highlighted that, during Perikatan Nasional's tenure in government, its chairman, Muhyiddin Yassin, had attempted to render Umno an illegal party.

Anwar stressed that despite being a former adversary of Umno, he did not support the malevolent scheme to outlaw the party.

"Nevertheless, there are now some Umno members who appear to be admirers of Perikatan Nasional (PN)," Anwar lamented.

To secure victory, Anwar called for strong cooperation between election workers from both Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN). He emphasized the importance of carrying out all tasks with unwavering passion, sincerity, and genuine intentions to protect the interests of the people and the state from greedy individuals.

Anwar implored party members from both coalitions not to allow the country to be tarnished by religious extremists and narrow-minded racism.

Anwar also defended DAP, his coalition partner in Pakatan Harapan (PH), against baseless attacks targeting the party on racial and religious grounds.

" They keep saying that DAP is an enemy of Islam. They keep lying,," Anwar rebutted.

"When we added allocations for the Muslims, DAP did not object, instead it gave its full cooperation," he added.
