KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional will announce a list of 10 former Umno warlords who are joining the coalition in the near future at an appropriate event.
PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the coalition's top leadership were finalising the matter.
"We are making the necessary plans and we will soon make the announcement, which will be integrated into a programme that we have already arranged," he said at the Parliament lobby here today.
It was previously reported that former Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar and former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, who is also former health minister, were on the verge of joining PN.
PN information chief Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had also confirmed that eight former Umno leaders were also poised to join the coalition.
On rumours of Khairy joining PN, Hamzah said such a discussion should be left between the former Rembau member of parliament and PN chairman and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Hamzah, however, smiled when asked if Khairy might contest as a PN candidate in the upcoming state elections.
