PETALING JAYA: Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman will reveal on Nov 2 whether he will defend his Muar parliamentary seat or otherwise in the 15th General Election (GE15).

"Wait for the announcement on Wednesday," he said.

The former youth and sports minister was ordered to enter his defence on all four charges involving criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of assets and money laundering on Friday.

High Court judicial commissioner Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid fixed the trial dates on February 22 to 24, March 13 to 14 and April 10 to 14 next year.

Syed Saddiq said he felt it was important for him to follow the court's due process and expressed confidence of his innocence.

"I respect the judicial institution, and I encourage Muda supporters to do the same.

"Berani kerana benar.

"I believe I am innocent and I will fight for justice.

"I have been given the opportunity to defend myself and I will not waste the opportunity," said.
