SHAH ALAM: Pakatan Harapan's (PH) 15th General Election (GE15) seat negotiations will be concluded within a month.

PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli said the pact would release its candidates shortlists for Parliament and State Assembly seats within that period.

"If we don't start sprinting from now, we will fail. Within a week, we will provide the next directive at the state level.

"Since the (PKR) Congress, our work is more organised, we are focusing at the national and division levels. Over the next month, we will complete the (tasks for) state and division levels.

"We will resolve the PH seat negotiations within a month from now. God willing, we will finish at least the first shortlist of candidates for the areas in the next month," he said.

Rafizi said this at the PKR 2022 Election Convention here today. Also present was PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Convention Director Manivanan Gowin.

The former Pandan member of parliament reminded PKR leaders and members to have the right goals and intentions when entering GE15, which is one of responsibility, not the pursuit for positions.

He said PKR must be committed towards winning seats, in order to improve the state of the country and not to pass on the nation's burden or debt, to be borne by future generations.

"On the threshold of the general election, we need to set out our intentions. If anyone is not a candidate, do not cause a ruckus. If one does not get a government position, do not (back) stab like Azmin (former PKR deputy president, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali) and his friends.

"We enter the election because there is a responsibility to improve our children's and our grandchildren's situation. They should inherit a better country. It is not fair for us to pass on to them debts and hardship," he said.
