KUANTAN: Newly-minted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is scheduled for an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Abdul Aziz here this morning.
A special aircraft carrying the Prime Minister from the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang, Selangor is expected to land at the Kuantan Air Force base about 10.30am.
Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail is expected to welcome Ismail Sabri at the air force base before the latter meets the King.
It is believed that the Prime Minister's audience with the King is to seek the latter's consent over a list of candidates for cabinet positions.
Since there is only one entrance to the palace, members of the media and policemen began gathering at the main door since 9am.
