SEREMBAN: ‘Pakatan Harapan (PH), do not waste our sacrifice that has paved the way for you to govern this state.’

Those were the words of a netizen, uploaded on social mdeia.

"It was heavy for us to sacrifice the leadership of (former) Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, who we love, for a better future for our country," said another social media user.

Some of the status updates being shared on social media, are asking for PH not to disappoint the people of Negeri Sembilan who previously were comfortable under the leadership of Mohamad, or more commonly referred to as Tok Mat.

Meanwhile Negeri Sembilan DAP secretary Cha Kee Chin said he admitted the swing by voters in the state to support PH were due to the central BN leadership.

"Yes there are some state-based issues but it is not as big as the issues at the central BN level which makes the rakyat feel burdened, especially rising cost of living," he said.

"However, trust this new leadership and give us a chance. We are confident that the person chosen to be the Menteri Besar will carry out his duties and trust given by the rakyat as honestly and transparently as possible," Cha added.

According to him, as soon as they begin their work, both at the state and federal level, PH will focus on their 14th General Election (GE14) manifesto.

"All promises made will be fulfilled and the rakyat can evaluate for themselves before determining the leadership for the next general election.

"Let us carry out our duties first and evaluate it yourselves," he said.

Barisan Nasional (BN) only managed to secure 16 out of the 36 state seats in GE14. PH, contesting under the PKR flag, garnered 20 seats, allowing them the simple majority required to form the state government.
