ISKANDAR PUTERI: There was a commotion outside the Iskandar Puteri City Council multi purpose hall when a group of men stopped a car from bringing a ballot box into the vote counting centre.

The incident occurred when the car took a wrong turn as it was entering the premises, leading to a confrontation between the occupants of the car and the men who suspected that the ballot box could contain phantom votes.

Quick action by police prevented the situation from getting out of hand.

Johor Baru North police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Taib Ahmad said the situation was brought under control and the ballot box was successfully delivered.
