JOHOR BARU: Small explosion from a tripped circuit breaker has disrupted DAP secretary general Lim Guan Eng’s ceramah here today.
Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister, was talking about Johor crocodiles in Mandarin at the Madeo Restaurant banquet hall when the explosion was heard from the right stage.
The tripped power caused a big screen behind him to black out.
The incident, however, did not inflict any injury on Lim, although he was stunned by it.
Nearly 2,000 guests attending the ceramah were also shocked by the incident.
The power failure caused the banquet hall to go dark for a moment.
Fortunately, a back-up generator was able to restore power and put things back online.
