SEREMBAN: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) failed to announce its candidates list for the 14th general Election in Negri Sembilan.

The candidates list announcement was supposed to take place here tonight.

Negri Sembilan PPBM Chief Baharuddin Ahmad said the delay was due to the party’s headquarters still in the midst of finalising its candidate’s names for the polls.

"Insya-Allah, the candidates will be finalised to tomorrow and subsequently it will be announced.

“On behalf of PPBM, I would like to apologise. Our spirit is still with Pakatan Harapan,” he said in his speech at the announcement of opposition pact candidates for GE14.

Under the opposition pact’s candidate allocation for Negri Sembilan PPBM had been allocated six state seats and two parliament seats.

PKR will stand in 12 state seats, DAP (11) and Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) seven seats. All three parties will contest two parliament seats respectively in the polls.

Negri Sembilan PKR chief, Aminuddin Harun announced at the event that he will defend his Sikamat state seat, while DAP’s national organising secretary Anthony Loke Sew Fook will defend his Seremban Parliament and Chennah state seat in the polls.

In addition, PAN vice-president Dr Hasan Baharom will contest the Tampin Parliament seat, whereas Negri Sembilan PAN Chief Zulkefly Mohamad Omar will contest the Johol state seat, while his deputy Mohamad Taufek Abd Ghani will contest the Paroi seat.
