KOTA BARU: Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi has challenged Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to reply to issues raised by PPBM's Armada exco member Mohammad Hafiz Azhar before commenting on the United State's Departement of Justice recent statement.
Puad said Hafiz has asked Muhyiddin to declare the assets of his son and Muhyiddin should do this instead of acting as if he was of high moral.
He said Muhyiddin should also reply to the question brought up by Hafiz whether there was truth to his alleged scandal with another man's wife.
"He should reply to these questions instead of linking the Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) with the DoJ's action when they were never named in the civil action," he told reporters here today.
Puad who is Special Affairs Department (Jasa) director general said this after the state-level Kasih Ramadan programme here today.
The DoJ on Thursday moved to seize US$540mil (RM2.3bil) of assets allegedly belonging to 1MDB.
This time last year, US prosecutors filed civil asset-forfeiture suits against more than US$1bil (RM4.27bil) worth of artworks, real estate and other assets owned by several individuals.
