KUALA LUMPUR: A heart-wrenching moment captured in a Facebook post has gone viral, prompting an outpouring of support from netizens for a couple and their sick child.
The post, shared by user Aznor Aziz on Sunday, included a video and a picture of the couple riding a motorcycle with their ailing child.
In the video, the child can be seen wearing an oxygen mask as the mother holds the child tightly.
Aznor's post expressed deep empathy and reflection, noting how the scene gave her a new perspective on life.
"I could see the mother's love for her child as she kept kissing and holding her child lovingly," Aznor wrote.
"Each of us receives certain blessings abundantly while others are withheld by God, who knows our abilities and ensures we are not tested beyond our capabilities. Never complain about our journey, as others surely face harder struggles and greater trials."
The touching moment has garnered significant attention on both Facebook and TikTok, with many eager to assist the family.
Among them is Muhammad Shahideen commenting on the post, offering to lend his old car to help ease the couple's daily struggles.
"Does anyone have complete details of this couple? I have an old Wira car that is in great condition and I rarely use it. I want them to use it," he wrote.
The post generated numerous comments from people wishing the family well and hoping for the child's recovery.
In a follow-up post, Aznor shared that Wilson Loo from Sayang Sayang Ambulans had reached out to offer assistance.
Loo requested further details about the family's living situation and offered ambulance services for the child.
