The alleged scammer tries to make payment for the e-hailing ride.

KUALA LUMPUR: An e-hailing driver has called out a woman who is notorious for her scam tactics in avoiding full payments after using their service.

A camera recording posted on Reddit with a March 22 date stamp shows the woman attempting to 'rob' the driver of his fee.

Little did she know, the driver had picked her up before and was ready to call her bluff.

At first, the woman asked if she could pay the driver through the Touch n Go e-wallet app, to which the latter obliged.

With a fee of RM11, the woman suddenly said her funds were insufficient, with only RM4.70 remaining in her account.

This prompted the driver to immediately drive to a nearby police station despite the woman's attempt to call her friend for help.

The conversation after that goes:

Driver: The police station is just right up ahead.

Woman: Oh. You wait for me. I'll get my friend to transfer (on Touch n Go). My friends are inside (the house where she was headed).

Driver: Don't think that I don't know you. You are already famous. Other drivers already know your style (scam tactic). This is not my first time driving you. The police station is near. Do you want to pay or not?" the driver asked as the woman fell silent.

Woman: I did not say I don't want to pay. I do… with Touch n Go. Let me call my friend first.

The driver then parked his car and gave the woman a piece of his mind.

Driver: Why do you like to cheat people like this? It is not good. Your pictures are all over Facebook. Even videos.

Woman: Can I pay through QR? RM11 right? I'll scan your QR code.

The video post has since received hundreds of comments.

One Reddit user called out the woman's name saying that she is known for cheating others to avoid paying fees in full.

"This isn't her first rodeo. And not only does she not pay or half-pay drivers, she does the same for other services, like manicures, buying things, treatments, etc.

"If you are doing business and happen to see this face, be sure to blacklist her or ask for full payment before giving her anything," said user @Repulsive_Past_548.
