KUALA LUMPUR: Police posted a video on their official Facebook last night showing two of their men removing large debris in the path of vehicles at Km48.8 of the Klang-bound lane at the Shah Alam Highway (Kesas).

Corporal Mohd Noorazreen Majid and Lance Corporal Hamiree Ramli from the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department's Highway Patrol Unit had stopped amidst heavy traffic on the highway to attend to the road safety hazard.

One of the policemen picked up the large boards which were believed to have fallen from a vehicle earlier in the day.

"Despite having to face the risk of danger, for the safety of other road users, the policeman got out of his patrol car and removed the large debris.

"The diligence in discharging their duties, their attentiveness, alertness and caring attitude displayed ensures that traffic flowed smoothly and to avoid any untoward incident. The debris was removed and this ensured the safety of road users along the stretch of the highway," read the post.



Netizens said the incident proves that police were selfless when they did their duty.

A social media user, Nesamany Sinasamy simply said 'Thank you'.

Another social media user, Badbanzs Coating commented: "Let their good deed and service be remembered, well done Royal Malaysia Police.

Veerah San praised them for their act.

"Salute Sir and thank you for your dedication to our country. Actions speak louder than words."

The posting has received about 29,000 views.
