JEMPOL: Fifteen students from the Jempol Integrated Fully Residential School were admitted to hospital for food poisoning.

Negri Sembilan Education director Dr Roslan Hussin said 15 students from Form One to Form Five had been admitted to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah since last night.

He said they were suspected of having food poisoning after having lunch at the school's dining hall.

"Prior to that, 24 students had been sent to hospital. Nine students were allowed to return home.

"Meanwhile, 20 students were given medication (for mild cases).

"There are still 15 students at the hospital, and all are in stable condition."

Roslan said the district health office was investigating the incident.
