KUANTAN: All quarters have been advised against speculating about the health status of Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail who will receive treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) tomorrow.
State Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Biotechnology and Education committee chairman Datuk Seri Ir Mohd Soffi Abd Razak called on the people from all walks of life to pray for Wan Rosdy's health and well-being.
"Do not speculate, as human beings, there are times when we become unwell. Datuk Seri (Wan Rosdy) has always had a packed daily schedule with little rest.
"Earlier today, state secretary Datuk Seri Zulkifli Yaacob had also issued an official statement explaining the matter (Wan Rosdy's treatment).
"I hope the people, regardless of their political differences and beliefs, will pray that everything will be eased during the treatment and Datuk Seri will have a speedy recovery so that he can return to work soon," he told reporters at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara here today.
He was met after distributing cash incentives to some 600 students across Pahang who excelled in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia examination in 2022.
In his statement, Zulkifli said Wan Rosdy will be admitted for treatment at IJN until a date decided by the doctor.
The news about Wan Rosdy receiving treatment at IJN came as a surprise to many as he had chaired the weekly Pahang executive council meeting on June 4.
Meanwhile, Pahang opposition leader Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, in a statement, said all the Perikatan Nasional assemblymen are praying for Wan Rosdy to recover and return to good health soon.
Pahang Pas deputy commissioner Andansura Rabu wrote on Facebook that he hopes the scheduled treatment will go on smoothly and urged everyone to pray for Wan Rosdy's recovery.
